All families must complete the "Camper Registration Form" (CDC
Form 2), the "Medical Information Form" (CDC Form 3) and
the "Sunscreen Authorization Form" (CDC Form 4). If your
child attended Cavalier Day Camp in 2007, you will not need to re-submit
the "Physical Examination and Immunization Certification" form
(CDC Form 1). All deposits
and forms must be submitted at the time of registration, if registering
in our Business Office. Forms are available
online.
UVA IM-Rec Sports Members: "Cavalier Day Camp Member Registration"
We are excited to offer online registration for Cavalier Day Camp. Registrations will also be accepted in the Intramural-Recreational Sports Business Office, located in the UVA Aquatic & Fitness Center, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM. All deposits and forms must be submitted at the time of registration, if registering in our Business Office. Forms are available online.
Member Registration begins Monday, March 16, 8 AM.
Priority registration for members will continue through Friday, March 20. Youth Recreation Membership required.
Open Registration begins Monday, March 23, 8 AM
and will be ongoing based on space availability.
As a licensed day care center, we are required by state law to verify the age of your child. Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate when you register for our records. If registering a camper that is not your child, you must provide legal documentation of guardianship at the time of registration. If your child attended Cavalier Day Camp in 2008, you will not need to re-submit a copy of your child's birth certificate.
Payment: A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $50 per session, per camper is due at registration. Sessions 1 & 2 balance due May 29. Sessions 3 & 4 balance due June 26.
Enrolled in Session I or II: Balance due Friday, May 29.
Enrolled in Session III or IV: Balance due Friday, June 26.
Once paid in full, a balance will only be refunded if the request
is submitted no later than 10 days PRIOR to the session of your camper's
enrollment.
Cavalier Day Camp Expenses Eligible for Flexible Reimbursement Accounts:
- As a licensed day camp provider by the Commonwealth of Virginia's Department of Social Services, the Cavalier Day Camp's registration fees charged to participants qualify as one of the two types of reimbursement accounts that are exempt from personal income tax for all UVa employees EXCEPT hourly wage employees not receiving benefits.
- Employees that have set aside money to pay for dependent care expenses for children entering the first through fifth grades are eligible to be reimbursed for CDC expenses through the Flexible Reimbursement Plan. To participate in summer 2009, an employee must have already selected an annual contribution amount that is payroll-deducted, before taxes are calculated, during the plan's open enrollment period earlier this year. New enrollment forms are required every year during open enrollment to take advantage of this benefit.
