1999
marked Memorial Gymnasium's 75th anniversary at the University of Virginia.
Established originally as a memorial to the University's World War
I casualties, this elegant facility continues to play a vital role
in the athletic, recreational, and physical education kinesiology programs
on Grounds. Venerable old Memorial Gymnasium has received a thorough
facelift, courtesy of a gift of more than $1.5 million from an anonymous
donor.
After 80+ years of serving the University community, The Memorial Gymnasium
Pool closed permanently effective May 2, 2007.

Membership ID is required for equipment checkout. Participants will pay the replacement cost for lost, stolen or damaged equipment.
