Late Policy
Personal trainers are required to wait 15 minutes after scheduled training time for clients to arrive for sessions. If after 15 minutes the client has not shown up for the session, the session will be forfeited with no credit or refund given and no reschedule of appointment. If the client does show up prior to the 15 minute late period, the training session will begin late but session time adjusted to end at the original end time.
Cancellation Policy
All clients must contact his/her trainer directly at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled training session. If contact has been made within 24hrs, the session will be rescheduled. If no contact is made within 24 hrs, the scheduled session will be forfeited with no credit or refund given and no reschedule of appointment.
Refund Policy
All sessions are non-transferrable and non-refundable with the exception of medical concern or restriction. A physician’s note will be required in this instance to obtain a refund. In addition, the refund will reflect a pro-rated amount for sessions not yet used.
Expiration Policy
All sessions purchased by clients expire four months from the date of purchase. Extensions will only be permitted in the instance of medical concern and/or restriction.
Outside Personal Training
Only IM-Rec Sports Personal Trainers are permitted to train clients that have purchased training sessions through IM-Rec Sports. Violation of this policy will result in immediate termination of membership for the trainer and client.
Medical Clearance Policy
Medical clearance will be required for clients who meet the national standards set forth by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). The form to be signed and completed by a physician will be provided by the Fitness Office and is necessary before beginning training. Medical clearance must be submitted annually to ensure safety and update records.
Fitness Assessment Policy
Each client will undergo a fitness assessment prior to training. If you would like an additional fitness assessment, one can be purchased individually, or an assessment can replace a personal training session. Fitness assessments must be conducted annually for all personal training clients to ensure safety and update records.
