Outdoor Experiential CourseLocated on grounds at the University of Virginia, the Outdoor Experiential Course (OEC) encompasses eight wooded acres in a beautiful and secluded setting. Often referred to as the "ropes course," in reality, most of our initiatives and simulations involve more problem solving skills than physical strength and conditioning. All of our programs are based on a success-oriented approach, ensuring that individuals and teams have the opportunity to choose their own level of challenge and risk-taking.Our corporate initiatives and simulations are carefully selected, matching your organizational needs with experiential exercises and discussions that integrate individual and team learning back into the work place. In addition to over 20 unique experiential initiatives and simulations, Poplar Ridge also features high ropes course events which present individuals and teams with unique and exciting challenges that help promote self-confidence, group support, and healthy risk-taking. In addition to the OEC, Poplar Ridge runs indoor workshops both on and off site, allowing our programs to run year-round regardless of weather. Our on site programs utilize conveniently located facilities at the University of Virginia. Off site options are also available, allowing our program to come to you. |
