Toddlers
on the Move
Age 2. Expose your child to a variety of movement experiences.
Body awareness and gross motor skills are developed through obstacle courses,
songs, and games. This parent/child class offers a chance for some special
family time!
Skill Builders
Age 3. Students will refine fundamental motor skills
such as hopping, skipping, kicking, and catching. You and your child will
have a great time together learning new movements, activities, songs,
and games while gaining an overall introduction to basic sports skills!
Supervised
Play
Ages 1–4. Parents, join your toddler in the safe
and fun environment of North Grounds Recreation Center. This supervised
but unstructured class lets parents and children alike socialize while
enjoying all of the equipment used for our Toddlers on the Move and Skill
Builders classes.
Wee Play
Ages 4–5. Sport skills exploration is the focus
of this non-competitive, small group class that will allow your child
to enjoy a variety of sport activities independent from parental participation.
Motor skill development is the focus of this class while trying out skills
that will be required in many different sports. Studies show that nearly
half the children who enter organized sports do not have the necessary
fundamental skills. Wee Play will present your child a positive and fun
early experience with sports and recreation.
