In Memoriam

Susan Chalfant Thomas, 58, of Charlottesville, died Sept. 14. Thomas recently retired as director of University Programs with Continuing Education, where she had worked since 1997. Before that, she was associate dean at Northern Virginia Community College. She is survived by her husband, John P. Thomas, director of the Cooper Center for Public Service.
