Meridian
presents art & literature series at the Bayly museum
Meridian, the literary magazine produced
by U.Va.'s M.F.A. Program in Creative Writing, will sponsor a
series of events focusing on the connections between the visual
and the literary arts. To complement the Fall 1999 issue's featured
paintings by McIntire
Department of Art professor Philip Geiger, the Bayly
Art Museum will host the Art & Literature Series this October
at the museum.

Margulies, Bayly Art Museum curator of works on paper. 7:30
p.m., Pine Room Gallery.

Oct. 28. Panel Discussion on Narrative in Visual and Literary
Art. Paul Barolsky, art professor and Stephen Margulies, both
of U.Va.; Karl Ackerman, fiction writer; and Peter Tatistcheff,
Tatistcheff Gallery. English professor Alison Booth of U.Va.,
will moderate.
