BOV office break-in

A weekend break-in at the Board of Visitors office that netted burglars furniture and electronics valued at approximately $1,300 apparently had nothing to do with the office¹s function, said Capt. Michael Coleman of the University Police.

Someone entered the office, located in the Rotunda, through a window sometime between 5 p.m. on Jan. 7 and 8 a.m. on Jan. 10, Coleman said. They made off with a couch, rug, disc recorder and player, speakers, a microphone and a trash can, he said.
