Using family leave

The U.Va. Women Faculty and Professional Association will sponsor a forum on the use of family medical leave March 7 in the Newcomb Hall South Meeting Room, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The brown-bag lunch program will feature attorney Sandhya Subramanian, a policy counselor at the National Partnership for Women and Families in Washington. U.Va. panelists, including Martha Williams, assistant director of benefits, will also address issues concerning the federal Family and Medical Leave Act, maternity leave, use of sick leave to care for family members, eldercare and child care options.
