  • Dr. Irving L. Hutcherson, 87, died March 20 in Charlottesville. He had practiced dentistry at the University Hospital for 36 years. Memorial contributions may be made to: First Baptist Church Building Fund, 735 Park St., Charlottesville, VA 22902; or to the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 160, Charlottesville, VA 22907.

  • Joan MacDonald Daniel, 92, died March 11 in Mount Pleasant, S.C. She was the former director of publications for the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

  • John G. Tonsler Jr., 84, died March 24 in Charlottesville. He retired in 1980 after 45 years of service in the Physical Plant Department (now Facilities Management).
