Graduate schools ranked
U.S.
News & World Report
magazine ranked top graduate and professional schools in its April
10 issue, rating programs in law, business, medicine, education
and engineering. Nursing and several allied health fields were
also surveyed this year.
The
Darden Graduate School of Business
Administration held its previous ranking at No. 11, tied with
Dartmouth and UCLA. The Law School, at No. 7 last year, tied for
8th with the University of California-Berkeley.
The
Curry School of
Education slipped from 13th to 19th, but several of its departments
continue to be rated in the top 10.
Graduate
nursing tied for No. 21 with Columbia, NYU, Ohio State, Alabama
and Wisconsin, moving up from 24th the last time nursing programs
were ranked, in 1998.
The
Medical
School, 28th last year, placed 30th and the Engineering School,
35th last year, tied for No. 36 with the University of California-Davis.
Other
programs within the schools and ranked individually are included
here.
U.S.
News ranks business, education, engineering, law and medicine
schools every year, but not all graduate schools and Ph.D. programs.
Its separate annual guidebook lists all Ph.D. programs in the
arts, humanities, social sciences and sciences, and the years
when they were last ranked.
