June paychecks to be issued July 3

Paychecks for the monthly pay period of May 25 through June 24, as well as the bimonthly pay period of June 10 through 24, will be issued Monday, July 3, this year. Employees should take note and make advance arrangements to cover any bills due July 1.

The state set the July 3 pay date so that the last payroll for fiscal year 1999-2000 would be paid in the next fiscal year. Ordinarily, it would've been issued June 30. After July, paychecks will continue to be issued according to the regular schedule. When the first of the month falls on the weekend or a holiday, the pay date will be the previous workday.
