A record year for CMC

The Children's Miracle Network Telethon, hosted locally this past weekend by WVIR-TV, culminated a year of fund raising that contributed $1,095,690 to U.Va.'s Children's Medical Center. The figure surpassed the previous year's total of $910,000 and this year's $1 million goal. Three CMC areas will benefit from this year's proceeds. They are the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, the new Virginia Children's Heart Center, and research programs targeting childhood diseases.
