Student orientation to begin July 6
The
University's second summer orientation program for incoming first-year
and transfer students will kick off the first of eight two-day
sessions on July 6. Over the next month, more than 3,000 students
and another 3,000 parents are expected to descend upon the Grounds.
An additional session, geared toward international and American
students living abroad, will be held Aug. 25-26.
While
here, students will register for classes, take placement tests
and receive financial aid information, among other activities.
Parents
will have their own program to provide them with a better understanding
of the transition their children will be making in the fall.
Students
will be housed in the University's Hereford
Residential College, while parents will stay in area hotels
and dine in local restaurants.
