New faculty and staff resource fair to be held Nov. 8

For those faculty and staff who may feel like the new kids on the block, the New Faculty and Staff Welcome and Resource Fair, to be held Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. in the Newcomb Hall Theater and Ballroom, tells a lot about the University and services available to employees.

Human Resources sends invitations to all those whošve been hired since Feb. 1, but faculty and staff who have worked at U.Va. longer also may attend.

Leonard W. Sandridge, executive vice president and chief operating officer, will be the guest speaker during the first part of the program. Employees will view a welcome video before proceeding to the ballroom, where some 50 exhibitors will be on hand to provide information on topics ranging from employee benefits and services to social and cultural opportunities.
