Technology project proposals due Jan. 31

The deadline to apply for a two-year fellowship in digital scholarship, sponsored by the University's Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities, is Jan. 31.

Past fellows have embarked on ambitious, multi-year projects that may help to redefine scholarship in their respective areas. Full-time faculty in any humanities discipline in any U.Va. school or department are eligible. An accompanying half-time teaching release will continue for one year only. The institute continues to support the research for the life of the project, even after the fellowship ends. Only one professor will be selected for the two-year fellowship, but others may receive associate fellowships.

Interested faculty should consult the institute's Web site at http://www. iath.virginia.edu/iath/fellowships.html, where they will also find a list of current or emeritus fellows and their projects.
