Boosting student leaders

A new resource center has opened offering students a variety of information to help boost their leadership skills. The Dean of Students office has stocked the Leadership Resource Center, located in Newcomb Hall, with over 100 books, videos and training manuals, many of which can be borrowed. Topics covered include ethical, spiritual and multicultural aspects of leadership, team-building and conflict resolution. Handouts on basic functions, such as recruiting members, running effective meetings and delegating duties, are also available.

The center is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., except for Fridays, when it closes at 5 p.m. The grand opening will be Feb. 1.
