Employee gets award

Diane Cole, patient education coordinator at the U.Va. Health System, was among 10 state classified employees cited by Governor Jim Gilmore at a ceremony at the State Capitol May 8, in recognition of Virginia Public Service Week.

Cole, who works at the Cancer Center, was the only one from U.Va. to get the award. She was selected for her work with patients, cancer education and cancer prevention.
