'New Art' from Fayerweather
The U.Va. McIntire
Department of Art opens its exhibition year with new works
by faculty and staff artists in Fayerweather Gallery, on display
Sept. 3-23. A First Friday reception will be held Sept. 7 from
5 to 7 p.m. in the gallery on Rugby Road.
Works
will be featured by studio faculty, including William Bennett,
Richard Crozier, Dean Dass, Kevin Emerson, Philip Geiger, Megan
Marlatt, Akemi Ohura and Elizabeth Schoyer. The exhibition also
showcases the work of art historians David Summers and Lydia Gasman,
architecture professor and artist Sanda Iliescu, visiting faculty
Erik Adolfson and Adam Wolpa, artist Lincoln Perry, who is joining
the faculty this fall, and Eric Schmidt, a new member of the art
department staff.
Fayerweather
Gallery is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
