Orientation on research set for Sept. 20

The research process from A to Z will be covered Sept. 20 in a seminar sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research and Public Service. Geared especially toward new faculty, the meeting will focus on key components of doing research at U.Va., from ethics and responsibilities to finding funding and technology transfer. Experienced faculty also will talk about the processes involved with research on a panel called, “What We Know Now That We Wish We’d Known Then.” Held in the Jordan Hall Conference Center Auditorium from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the orientation will include a reception with research administrators from different schools.

No registration is necessary. For information, see the Web site, or call Carole Wagonhurst at 924-6346
