Orientation on research set for
Sept. 20
The
research process from A to Z will be covered Sept. 20 in a seminar
sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research and
Public Service. Geared especially toward new faculty, the meeting
will focus on key components of doing research at U.Va., from
ethics and responsibilities to finding funding and technology
transfer. Experienced faculty also will talk about the processes
involved with research on a panel called, What We Know Now
That We Wish Wed Known Then. Held in the Jordan Hall
Conference Center Auditorium from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the orientation
will include a reception with research administrators from different
schools.
