CVC campaign extended

With donations lagging, the Commonwealth of Virginia Campaign at U.Va. has been extended to Dec. 14. As of Monday’s original end date, the annual charity drive had raised only 53 percent of the University’s $475,000 goal, mirroring a statewide trend, said campaign chair Ida Lee Wootten, interim director of community relations.

“U.Va. employees can use the CVC as an effective way to transform 2001 into a year that made a positive difference in the lives of many,” Wootten said. “By giving, employees can strengthen charities that help the community. One hundred percent of designated funds go to the charity or charities employees choose.”
