TTI fellowship deadline Feb. 15
The Teaching+Technology Initiative Fellowship Program
is soliciting grant applications for 2002-03 from faculty members
who are interested in developing exciting, innovative uses of
technology for undergraduate teaching.
In
a change from past years, the program will operate on the academic
year schedule, with fellows selected at the end of March who will
begin their fellowship year in September. At least four different
projects integrating teaching and technology will be selected
this year. Applications should be forwarded to the Provosts
Office, c/o TTI Fellowship Program, by Feb. 15.
Fellows
will be provided with the hardware and software, as well as the
release time (e.g. summer stipend and/or course relief), necessary
to complete their projects. Project budgets should not exceed
$20,000.
Instructions
and the application form for the fellowships, which are sponsored
by the offices of the Vice President for Information Technology
and the Provost, can be found at http://tti.itc.virginia.edu/tti_rfp.html,
or are available from deans, department chairs or the Teaching
Resource Center.
Applicants
are strongly encouraged to consult with a TTI Instructional Technology
Adviser as they develop their proposals. For information about
the technological side of the program, contact John Alexander
(john@virginia.edu) of
ITC. For other information, contact Judith Reagan (jude@virginia.edu)
at the Teaching Resource Center.
