Casteen renews funds

U.Va. President John T. Casteen III has provided $25,000 to the Arts & Sciences Fellowship Office to fund the Summer Research Fellowships for Undergraduates program.

Stipends of $2,250 each will be provided to 10 students, with an additional $250 for a faculty mentor for each.

The program allows undergraduate students to work with faculty members for at least eight weeks during the summer. Fellowships are awarded in all disciplines and frequently become the basis for subsequent work on distinguished majors theses.
