President to discuss State of the University

University President John T. Casteen III is scheduled to deliver his annual “State of the University” address April 24 at noon in Old Cabell Hall Auditorium.

The speech is expected to touch upon the state budget cuts and their effect on the University, as well as the University’s planning for the next several years. Some written materials will be available, and Casteen will field questions from the audience after his address.

The time of the speech was changed from its previous late-afternoon start to lunchtime in order to allow more faculty and staff to attend. The presentation is scheduled to end at 1:30 p.m.
