Peter Ochs, Bronfman Chair of Judaic Studies, is founding editor of two journals published online by the University’s Jewish Studies program: “The Journal of Scriptural Reasoning” and “The Journal of Textual Reasoning: Rereading Judaism After Modernity.” Scriptural Reasoning seeks to promote religious readings of scriptures within the academy, with Jewish, Christian and Muslim scholars discussing and interpreting texts. Textual Reasoning deals with a community of Jewish thinkers combining Jewish philosophy and textual interpretation.
