Johnson Minn. bound

Alex Johnson Jr., U.Va.’s vice provost for faculty recruitment and retention and chair of the national Law School Admission Council, has been named dean of the University of Minnesota Law School, pending approval by the school’s board of regents.

The appointment, effective July 1, represents a homecoming for Johnson, who started his teaching career at Minnesota in 1980. Prior to coming to U.Va., he held professorships at Stanford University, Loyola University School of Law, Washington University School of Law (St. Louis), and the University of Texas School of Law.
