New Supervisor Orientation Program
New supervisors have the opportunity to learn more about what
is expected of them and how to use key University systems in a
special orientation program to be held June 10 & 12.
Designed
by Human Resources
Division of Training, the two-day workshop will help familiarize
new supervisors with institutional philosophies, goals and processes.
Participants will have an opportunity to meet other U.Va. supervisors
and resource personnel.
Supervisors
need to attend both days June 10, 8 a.m.- noon, and June
12, 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. June 3 is the deadline to register for the program,

the U.Va. context institutional mission, current issues
and trends;
a discussion of supervisory role contributions and best practices;
responsibilities around the selection & treatment of employees;

managing employee performance;
professional development and training opportunities for supervisors
and their staffs.
