Political humor: A tribute to Herblock

Nothing captures the spirit of political humor in cartoons better than the life and work of the late Herb Block (1909-2001). His career spanned the tenure of 12 presidents, from Herbert Hoover to Bill Clinton.

This exhibit of drawings, on loan from the Library of Congress, comes from more than 50 years of work by the political cartoonist and will be on display at the U.Va. Art Museum through May 4. A Fourth-Fridays reception will be held at the museum March 28, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
