The Simpsons Reiss brings Simpsons mania to U.Va.

Get the inside scoop on America’s wackiest family when Simpsons co-creator Mike Reiss comes to U.Va. April 23. His presentation, free and open to the public, will be held at 8:15 p.m. in Old Cabell Hall Auditorium and include rare video clips from “The Simpsons.” He will also talk about some of his other television credits, including “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson,” Eddie Murphy’s “The PJ’s” and “It’s Garry Shandling’s Show.”

Reiss penned a dozen scripts and produced more than 200 episodes of “The Simpsons,” winning four Emmy Awards for his work. Also an award-winning mystery writer, he continues as a consulting producer. His visit is co-sponsored by the University Programs Council and the U.Va. Center for Politics.
