Nov. 20 resource fair welcomes new faculty and staff

One way for new employees to learn about the University is by attending the upcoming Welcome and Resource Fair on Nov. 20, held in Newcomb Hall. New faculty and staff hired between Feb. 1 and Sept. 30 are invited to attend, as well as employees hired between March 1, 2002, and Jan. 31, 2003 (due to the cancellation of two previous fairs). All faculty and staff are welcome to browse the resource fair in the Newcomb Hall Ballroom.

The formal program begins at 2 p.m. in Newcomb Theater, followed by the fair in the ballroom at 2:45 p.m. with approximately 50 University and University-related exhibitors.

Staff should seek permission from their supervisors to attend the fair, which is considered work time. The deadline to R.S.V.P. is Oct. 31. Invitees should call Tonia Duncan-Rivers at 924-4320 or e-mail tdd3v@virginia.edu.
