Staff: learn about applying to college and financial aid at Jan. 18 workshop
It seems no matter how prepared you are, when it’s time to enroll your child in college, the process — from admissions applications to financial aid — is daunting. To help smooth out the details, Student Financial Services will host a financial aid and admissions workshop for all University staff on Jan. 18. During the workshop, representatives will explain the college admissions and financial aid process and provide information to help parents make good decisions. Topics will include admissions, community colleges, how to apply, the FAFSA, award letters and making cost comparisons. The workshop begins at 6 p.m. in Physics 203. Refreshments will be provided and parking is available in the R1 lot behind the Physics building and lots E3 and E4 behind the Engineering School. Students also are welcome to attend.
