Learn about education benefits March 8 When you work at U.Va., it’s easy to think about going back to school. The educational benefits offered to every University employee are vast (and can be used in traditional and nontraditional ways). Come to the U.Va. Employee Education Benefits Conference and Resource Fair on March 8 to find out more about what the University and other institutions that are covered by state benefits have to offer. The morning events run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and include a combination of exhibits and breakout sessions. The conference, hosted by Faculty and Staff Career Services, is designed to help employees make good choices about educational benefits in the following programs: undergraduate, graduate, professional development, technical studies, vocational studies and distance learning. The first ever Educational Mentor and Manager Award, recognizing a manager who was influential in their employees’ education, also will be presented. Registration for the conference is available online at www.hrs.virginia.edu/ educben until Feb. 18. Classified staff who wish to attend can record the time away from the office as hours worked. |
