| Varsity Hall, built in 1858 as U.Va.’s first infirmary, was inched down a gravel slope to a wooden structure between Randall and Cobb halls on April 9. The move makes room for an addition to Rouss Hall, which will soon house the McIntire School of Commerce. The school’s new Lawn space was one of many capital projects the Board of Visitors discussed recently. Groundbreaking for McIntire’s project is today at 12:30. |
Board sets tuition and fees
The Board of Visitors voted on Monday to increase in-state undergraduate tuition and fees by $580 annually, an increase lower than what had been earlier projected for the 2005-2006 academic year. Out-of-state students will pay an additional $1,400. Full story
