| U.Va. fans and members of the Cavalier Marching Band wore black ribbons at the Sept. 24 Homecoming football game to show their solidarity and stand on intolerance in the aftermath of several racial bias incidents that occurred early in the school year. More than 50,000 ribbons were handed out at the game, and more than 12,000 were distributed around Grounds in the last two weeks of September. |
