Bhangra Night!

Bhangra night
A powerful mix of sights, sounds and tastes from northern India came alive on Grounds Jan. 27. Here, College student Mana Anandsongkit and fellow students perform a ceremonial dance. Sponsored by the Sikh Student Association, the free event, held in the Student Activities Building, celebrated cultural diversity and shows the increasing internationalization of the U.Va. community. In a series that begins mid-February, Inside UVA will explore international activity in higher education, both here and abroad.
