•An upgrade is not an implementation. It’s shorter: just 9 months start to finish. And there is much less training required in most cases.
•The latest version usually means more features and improvements on existing features.
•We will be doing a technical upgrade, which means doing the least amount of work required to get on the new technology platforms and mirror the current environment as closely as possible. The technical upgrade will be followed  by a series of functional upgrades, where we evaluate what new functionality UVA wants to implement that is possible with the latest version of the software. Some new functionality comes automatically with the technical upgrade, and we will look at some of those in a minute.
