The Integrated System (IS) at the University of Virginia is group of integrated software applications, also called an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, from Oracle Corporation. Since the software is customized to meet our needs at the University of Virginia, and since it includes inter-related modules or applications, it is referred to as The Integrated System. The Financial modules (applications) of the ERP were implemented in July 2001, and the Human Resources and Payroll modules were implemented in October 2002.
At this time, the Integrated System is used for the administration of fiance and human resources only. However, the Integrated System will also interface with the Jobs@UVa system, the treasury system, as well as the Student System, all currently in the development stages.
