The Training Manager is responsible for ensuring that this document is necessary and reflects University practice.

The Cisco Systems Virtual Private Network (VPN) Client consists of two parts:

A small program that has to be loaded onto your computer.
A login and password.
To create a VPN account you will need an account on the Central Mail Service, Blue.unix.virginia.edu or the Health Sciences Exchange System password.

Once the program is loaded you will see the following icon on your desktop:

User Authentication for Oracle

1. Create a connection entry to Oracle and enter the IP address of the server and click [Connect].

2. Enter your login ID.

3. Enter your VPN password.

4. Click [OK].

To check your connection you can click on the icon.

5. Click [Disconnect] before leaving your computer.
