Excel Journal Worksheet Template

Now that you have customized the worksheet defaults, you can change the actual Excel worksheet and save your changes as a template for future use. Open a worksheet and, from the Tools menu, unprotect the worksheet before you start.

1. Make desired changes in the worksheet. Some changes that you may consider are

renaming fields: you can rename fields with the yellow background as desired
entering a frequently used account code such as the cash deposit account code combination

NOTE: DO NOT rename the fields with blue background. This will produce unexpected results in the import process.

2. Save the worksheet to your hard drive or local area network. The next time you would like to use this template, just open the saved file from your hard drive or LAN before you log on to ADI. You will need to “Enable Macros” when opening the file. Once the file is opened, ADI will prompt you to log on.
