The ISDS System Usability Director is responsible for ensuring that this document is necessary, reflects actual practice, and supports University policy.

1. Start your VPN.

2. Launch Internet Explorer.

3. Navigate to the Integrated System home page.

You will always log in from this page in an fresh instance of Internet Explorer or Safari.

This document will show Internet Explorer for examples.

4. Click [DISCOVERER] (for either Finance/HR or for SIS).

Discoverer Finance/HR login

1. Enter your User Name and Password.

NOTE: This is the most recent password you’ve established in the IS application.

Note: Discoverer reports run on the Operational Data Store (ODS), a copy of the IS database. Once you establish or change a password in Production, it will take one day for the changes to be migrated to the ODS via the refresh process.

2. The default Responsibility is UVA ODS Specialist

if your responsibility is ODS Specialist-Limited
or
ODS Specialist-Restricted you will have to add that to the responsibility name.

Discoverer login for SIS

Discoverer login for SIS is identical except the Database specified is CSRPT and your role does not show in the login screen.

7. Click [Go]

The Workbook Wizard will appear.

On the first log in click [Cancel] and set your options. See the instructions on the HowDoI? Discoverer Plus- Setting Options

After setting your options you will be able to open the report you want by:

Selecting a report in your short list,
Selecting [Browse] for another predefined report.

You have the option to create a query using the wizard. Instructions are linked on the Desk Manual… HowDoI?
