Main Menu

1. Tap 'Synchronize Data' on the Main Menu.

Choose Synchronization Function

2. Tap the desired function button.

Get LOV Data from FA

When you tap 'Get LOV Data from FA' The Locations, Employees, Users and Conditions tables are updated on the scanner from the IS Fixed Assets and Human Resources databases.

Get Asset Data from FA

When you select 'Get Asset Data from FA,' the handheld checks its databases to verify they are empty. If they are not empty the handheld will:

Prompt you to either 'Send the Data to FA' or 'Erase All Data.' If you select 'Erase All Data' the handheld will
Prompt you to confirm erasing all data. If you confirm, the handheld's ADD and INV tables are deleted.
Retrieve all records in the IS Fixed Assets ADD temp table where 'Upload Flag' = NULL
Retrieve all records from the IS Fixed Assets INV temp table.

When the transfer is complete you are returned to the Main Menu.
During a download synchronization the IS Fixed Assets' data overwrites the local tables on the handheld.
The 'Cancel' button returns you to the Main Menu.

Send Asset Data to FA

When you select 'Send Data to FA,' the handheld will:

Send all modified records from the handheld's ADD and INV tables.
Delete both the handheld's ADD and INV tables.

When the transfer is complete, you are returned to the Main Menu.
During an upload synchronization the handheld data overwrites the IS Fixed Assets' INV and ADD tables.
The 'Cancel' button returns you to the Main Menu.

Synchronization Time-out

Synchronizing data will take a few minutes. If there is no progress or response after 10 minutes, you may do a 'soft reboot' by pressing Backlight - Func - End simultaneously.
