Decision

1. If the current effective date is the date you wish to use, click the [No] button. If not, click the [Yes] button, enter the date you wish to use in the Effective Date field, and click [OK].

2. Enter all or part of the person's last name in the Full Name field, using the wildcard character (%) as desired, to restrict your search.
3. Click on the [Find] button.
4. If the person is found in the database compare the first name, last name, social security number, or other known information with that in the database to ensure that it is the correct person.
5. Click on the [Assignment] button.
6. Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to locate the assignment you wish to change.

7. Click in the Group field.

8. Change the Compensation Type to "Wage" or "Salaried".
If compensation type is wage, leave the last three fields on this form blank.
If compensation type is salaried, complete the last three fields based upon these guidelines.

9. If changing from full-time to part-time or part-time to full time, use the list of values in the Assignment Category field (on the Assignment form) to select the new value.
10. Click on the [OK] button.

11. Click on the Standard Conditions tab.

12. Complete the Standard Conditions region.
Enter Assignment Change Reason
13. Select the flexfield in the bottom right corner (above the [Others...] button).

14. Enter Additional Assignment Details information as follows:
15. Click on the [OK] button.
16. Close the Additional Assignment Details window.
17. Save your work.

18. Click on the [Cancel] button. The hours will revert to how many hours are on the position if you click on [OK]. Clicking on [Cancel] will keep the hours you have entered on the Assignment form.

19. Click on the [Time Information] button.

20. Click on the [No] button.

21. Review the Time Information. If the current information is not correct for the new hours, change the following fields.

22. Click on the [Update] button.
23. Close all windows and return to the Navigator.
If the change in hours results in a change in salary, refer to Maintain - Changing Salary.
