Date
Tracking
1. If
the current effective date is the date you wish to use, click on the [No]
button. If not, click on the [Yes]
button, enter the date you wish to use in the Effective Date field, and click
on [OK].

Finding
an Existing Person
2. Enter
all or part of the person's last name in the Full Name field, using the
wildcard character (%) as desired, to restrict your search.
3. Click
on the [Find] button.

4. If
the person is found in the database compare the first name, last name, social
security number, or other known information with that in the database to ensure
that it is the correct person.
Change
Tenure Information
5. Click
on the [Assignment] button.

6. Use
the arrow keys on the keyboard to find the assignment you wish to update.
7. Click
on the [Others...] button.
8. Select Extra Information from the list of
values and click on [OK].

9. Click
in the Details field at the bottom of the form.

10. Complete
the following fields as appropriate.
-
Tenure Status: Use the list of values to select a tenure
status.
-
Track Type: (School
of Medicine Only) Use the
list of values to select a track type, if appropriate to your school.
-
Original Tenure Eligibility
Date: Leave the original date
in this field. This value always
reflects the date the faculty member went on track and should never be
modified.
-
Stop Clock 1 Date: Enter the last day the faculty member was on
tenure track prior to going off track.
This date must be within the total period of time in which they have to
obtain promotion and/or tenure.
-
Returned to Tenure Track: Enter the date the faculty member returns
from being off the clock. This date must
be within the total period of time in which they have to obtain promotion
and/or tenure.

Stop Clock 2 Date: Use this field if the faculty member has
already taken some time off track (recorded in Stop Clock 1 Date). Enter the last day the faculty member was on
tenure track prior to going off track.
This date must be within the total period of time in which they have to
obtain promotion and/or tenure.

Returned to Tenure Track 2: Use this field if the faculty member has
already taken some time off track (recorded in Stop Clock 1 Date). Enter the date the faculty member returns
from being off the clock the second time.
This date must be within the total period of time in which they have to
obtain promotion and/or tenure.

Projected Tenure
Eligibility End Date: Enter
the date by which the faculty member must achieve promotion and/or tenure.

Total Time on Tenure Track: This field is calculated to display the
number of years the faculty member has to achieve promotion and/or tenure. Use this field to verify that you have
entered the combination of dates correctly.
This value should be the total amount of time allowed on track for your
school or department.
-
Date Tenured: The date the faculty member with a tenure
status of "Tenured" obtained tenure.

Organization: Enter your organization.
11. Click
on the [OK] button.
12. Close
the Extra Assignment Information window.
13. Save
your work.
14. Close all forms and return to the Navigator.
