Requisition and Vacancy
Requisition and Vacancy

The
Requisition and Vacancy window is used to record requisitions, vacancies, and
openings for Classified Salaried and Classified Wage positions.
Find
the Requisition and Vacancy
1. From the View menu, select Query by Example, and
then select Enter (or F11).
2. Enter the name of the requisition in the
Requisition Name field.
You
may enter only part of the name and place a percent sign (%) at the beginning
and/or end of your search criteria.
3. From the View menu, select Query by Example,
and then select Run (or Ctrl F11).
4. If more than one requisition and vacancy is
found, use the up and down arrows on the keyboard to locate the requisition and
vacancy you wish to view.

Requisition
5. View the following fields:
-
Name:
The name of the requisition.
-
Dates From:
The date the requisition was entered.
-
Raised By:
The name of the hiring official.

Vacancy
6. View the following fields:
-
Vacancy Name: The same name as the requisition name.
-
Dates From:
The date the vacancy was entered.
-
Dates To:
Will be populated only if the vacancy status is not active.
-
Category:
Vacancy category.
-
Openings:
Should always be "1".
-
Status:
The status of the vacancy.
7. View the following fields under the Vacancy
For tab:
-
Organization: Organization of the vacancy.
-
Group:
Click in the People Group field to view the Job Type, Compensation Type,
Employment Category, Parttime FTE Percent, and Appointment Duration. Click the OK button.
-
Job:
The job is comprised of the Role Title, Career Group/Rank, Occupational
Family, and Role code.
-
Position: The position is comprised of the Organization,
Work title, Appointment Type (used for faculty positions only), and Position
Number.

Grade:
The Grade is comprised of the Employment type and Pay Band.
-
Location:
The location of the vacancy.
8. Click on the Recruiter tab and view the
following fields:
-
Name:
The recruiter name.
-
Number:
System generated recruiter number.

Additional
Vacancy Details
9. Click in the flexfield to the right of the
Status field.

10. View the following fields on the Additional
Vacancy Details form:
-
Requisition Approval Date: The date the requisition is approved for
posting. (Required)
-
Department Contact: The name of the person to contact if HR has
questions regarding the requisition or vacancy. (Required)
-
Assignment Stop Date: The end date for the position, if any.
-
Adjusted Pay Band Minimum: If the minimum
pay rate of the position is greater than that of the pay band, a new minimum
amount will be entered here.
-
Adjusted Pay Band Maximum: If the maximum
pay rate of the position is less than that of the pay band, a new maximum
amount will be entered here.

Job Vacancy Reason: Reason for the vacancy.

Funds Type:
Source of funds for the position.
(Required)
-
Number
of Work Months: The number of work months per year for the position.
(Classified salaried positions only.)
-
Internal Applicants Only: If the vacancy is
for internal applicants only, "Yes" will be entered here. Internal
Applicants Only indicates any person with the type "Employee and
Applicant". (Required)
-
View Applications Since: Date from which to
begin viewing applications for employment.
(Required)
-
Open Until Filled: "Yes" or "No" (Required)
-
Vacancy On-hold Reason: Will be populated if the vacancy is
"On-hold".
-
Comments:
Any comments specific to the vacancy.
Not additional selection criteria.
11. Close the Additional Vacancy Details form.
Additional
Selection Criteria
An
attachment is used to enter additional selection criteria for Classified
Salaried and Classified Wage positions.
12. Click the Attachments icon
on the toolbar.

13. View Additional selection criteria as entered
in the large field on the bottom half of the form.
14. Close all windows and return to the Navigator.
