Students
to Benefit Most from New Student
System
Charlie Grisham’s primary
goal in selecting and implementing
a student information system
to replace ISIS is to make it
easy and comprehensive from
the students’ perspective.
That will be his task over the
next 5 years as Director of
the Student System Project,
the third element of the University’s
Integrated System. MORE

What
Have We Done for You Lately?
The 11i upgrade brought
many positive changes with
it, but it was only one
large step among many to
continually improve the
Integrated System. A number
of improvements have been
implemented since the 11i
upgrade, among them faster reports runtimes,
improved system functionality, and clarification on LD tasks. MORE |

Finding
the Best in Class
There is no U.S. News and
World Report ranking of
departments that support
administrative information
systems. In fact, it is
very difficult to find
any published metrics,
much less metrics that
would be of value to Integrated
System users.
“While rankings
may not always work when
universities have different
systems and different
organizational structures,
sometimes we can still
compare, and if nothing
else, we certainly can
learn from each other,” says
Virginia Evans.

Yes, You Can
Many respondents to the IS User Survey made
comments indicating areas of frustration for
which there are actually solutions and/or
answers. Because we cannot always respond
directly to whoever made the comments (unless
they submitted their names), we are publishing
the solutions here with the hope that all
users who may have been similarly frustrated
can find relief. MORE
