Student Business Process Redesign Gets Underway
The holidays are over, and the Student System Project (SSP) has moved quickly out of the gate. With the first item of business being business process redesign, Charles Grisham, Director of the SSP, has gathered a cadre of knowledgeable people from schools and administrative departments to begin the task of documenting existing processes. Self Service Gets First Full-Scale Rollout
Beginning March 1, 2005, all University employees will use self service to view their monthly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payslips. On-line payslips is the first comprehensive rollout of Employee Self Service, but not the last, according to Barbara Henry, ISDS Director of Human Resources Applications. MORE
Patch, Patch, Patch
Prior to implementing the Integrated System, the University heard about patching. All those organizations who went before us in deploying similar integrated administrative information systems told us that patching would be a constant effort. Now, after being in “support mode” for 3 1/2 years on Finance and a little over 2 years on HR/Payroll, we have a first-hand understanding of what it means to be “patch-current.” MORE
