Month-end Close: At 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 28, all users will be temporarily disconnected from the system as we prepare for month-end close. Holders of IS responsibilities that remain active during month-end close may log back on at 2:30 p.m. Responsibilities that do NOT remain active during month-end close will be reactivated at 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1. Extended downtime: The system will be available on Sunday, February 18, at 2:00 p.m. rather than the normal noon availability as we apply a daylight savings patch.

All purchasers: The problem with the requisition approval process has been resolved and requisitons are routing to the next appropriate step in the process.

01/02/07, 3:25 p.m.

All purchasers: We are currently experiencing a problem with the requisition approval process. If you have submitted a requisition and it is still in process and not in your approver’s que, please take no further action on this requisition. We are working to correct the problem as quickly as possible so please continue to check this website for updates.

12/21/06, 4:45 p.m.

Month-end close: At 2:00 A.M. on Sunday, December 31, all users will be temporarily disconnected from the Integrated System as we prepare for month-end close. Holders of IS responsibilities that remain active during month-end close may log back at noon, Sunday, December 31, the normal hour that the system becomes available on Sundays. Responsibilities that do NOT remain active during month-end close will be reactivated at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, January 1, 2007.

Important change for purchasers: This month the PO responsibilities will NOT be deactivated but will remain active during month-end closing. If there are no problems with this change, we plan to allow these responsibilities to remain active during future month-end closings.

Weekend Downtime: Production will be unavailable from 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, until noon on Sunday, December 17, for maintenance. ODS will be available per normal operating hours.

12/4/06, 10:00 a.m.

UVa Marketplace Alert: The system is working well, with one exception: It is essential that all users go into iProcurement and set the Delivery Location Code in Preferences BEFORE ordering.

12/4/06, 8:20 a.m.

The UVa Marketplace is now open for business! All Integrated System responsibilities, including UVA PO Shopper, are now active.

12/02/06, 5:30 p.m.

UVa Marketplace Update: Non-purchasing responsibilities are now active. Purchasing responsibilities will be active at 7am, Monday, December 4.

Note: Receiving on purchase orders created before 5pm on Friday, December 1 must be completed in the Purchasing module rather than in the UVa Marketplace. Beginning Monday, December 4, new orders that require receiving will be available for processing on the Receiving tab in the Marketplace.

11/29/06, 2:00 p.m.

Detail on weekend downtime:

All responsibilities EXCEPT PO responsibilities will be inactive from Friday, December 1, at 5:00 p.m. until Sunday, December 3, at noon.

PO responsibilities will be inactive from Friday, December 1, at 5:00 p.m. until Monday, December 4, at 7:00 a.m.

Self Service responsibilities will be inactive as follows:

  • Saturday, December 2, from 2:00-6:00 a.m.
  • Sunday, December 3, from 3:00-7:00 a.m.
  • Intermittent downtimes during Friday night and Saturday, but should be able to access after approximately 15 minutes

ODS will be available throughout the weekend except for normal downtime hours.

11/27/06, 10:15 a.m.

Downtime for weekend upgrades/UVa Marketplace go-live: The Integrated System will be unavailable to ALL USERS except Self-Service users beginning Friday, December 1, at 5:00 p.m. All users EXCEPT PO users will have their responsibilities reactivated at noon on Sunday, December 3. PO users will have their responsibilities reactivated on Monday, December 4, at 7:00 a.m. NOTE: Incomplete POs will be deleted during the upgrade process. Please call the IS Customer Support Center at 3-7550 if you have questions.

ODS will be refreshed Friday night and will be available throughout the weekend.

UVa Marketplace Users (including MAC users): A downloadable version of the UVA Marketplace training materials is now available by clicking here. An html version of the online training, for MAC users, is also available by clicking here.

MAC USERS: UVA Marketplace on-line training is currently unavailable on Macs but we expect to have it available soon. Meanwhile, please use a PC or, on Monday, November 27, there will be a link to the Marketplace reference manual on this website.

HR Audit reports will be unavailable beginning 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, until Monday morning, November 13.

11/7/06, 9:50 a.m.

No ODS refresh Saturday, November 11: There will be no ODS refresh on Saturday night. Sunday's data will reflect transactions through Friday close of business. ODS will be refreshed again on Sunday, November 12.

11/6/06, 5:10 p.m.

The vendor add form is now active. However there is now a new procedure for adding a vendor. Click here for instructions. If you have questions, contact the IS Customer Support Center at 3-7550.

The vendor add form remains inactive at this time. Please check this site for updates on when it will be available.

11/2/06, 3:30 p.m.

Vendor add form inactive at 5 p.m. today: In preparation for the UVa Marketplace roll-out, the vendor add form will be inactive from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, until 11 a.m. on Monday, November 6

10/31/06, 10:40 a.m.

IE 7.0 not certified by Oracle: Microsoft rolls out Internet Explorer 7.0 tomorrow, November 1. If you have the option not to install IE 7.0, we recommend that you do not do so until it is certified by Oracle, anticipated early in 2007. If IE 7.0 is installed automatically on your computer, it is likely you will not experience any difficulties. However, if you do experience problems in the Integrated System applications, call the IS Customer Support Center for assistance at 3-7550.

Purchasing Approvers: We are still experiencing workflow approval errors when approvals are done from the self service menu. Until this issue is resolved, please approve from e-mails or from Notification Summary inside the application. If you do approve from self service and the preparer receives a notification that your approval has ended in error, have the preparer click the "Retry" button to resolve the problem. We continue to work with Oracle on a solution.

8/30/06, 2:20 p.m.

Planned downtime: Production will be unavailable from 5:30 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31. ODS will be available.

8/29/06, 12:55 p.m.

All ODS Users: The ODS (for Discoverer reporting) will not be available from 5:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, August 29, until 7:00 a.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, August 30, as maintenance and the nightly refresh are performed.

Purchasing Approvers: We are experiencing a significant number of workflow approval errors when approvals are done from the self service menu. Until this issue is resolved, you should approve from e-mails or from Notification Summary on the application menu. Production maintenance is complete. ODS and Production are available. If you have any issues, please call the Helpdesk X3-7550.

8/9/06, 9:30 a.m.

Production will be unavailable from 6:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, until noon on Sunday, August 20, for major system improvements and maintence. ODS will be available throughout this period.

8/1/06, 8:35 a.m.

Month-end close is complete. ODS contains data through July 31.

7/27/06, 2:15 p.m.

Discoverer finance reports will not be available today. They will be available at 7:00 a.m. tomorrow.

7/27/06, 1:20 p.m.

Discoverer HR reports are available. The estimate for availability for Discoverer finance reports is 3:30.

7/27/06, 8:15 a.m.

ODS (Discoverer) HR reports will be available at 8:45. Finance reports will be available at approximately 11:30.

Reminder: It is time for the annual change of VPN passwords. You will be receiving an email directing you to a website where this can be done easily. Please do so before August 4 or you will not be able to access the system.

All budgets have been loaded and year-end closing is complete. Happy New Year!

Year End Close: Integrated System users with responsibilities that do NOT remain active during month-end close will have those responsibilities deactivated at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27. They will be reactivated at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1. All other responsibilities will remain active during year-end close. See click here for a list of deactivated and active responsibilities.
