year the Institute for Practical Ethics and Public Life seeks to
involve selected faculty from UVA and elsewhere and graduate students
from UVA in discussions with its faculty on real-world, case-based
problems and issues in public policy. The Institute provides office
space, modest financial support when possible, and, most importantly,
opportunities to participate in Institute seminars and other activities
in practical ethics.
