Priya Uppal (Prime Minister):
Welcome to the IRC! My name is Priya Uppal and I am a third year majoring in Economics and Politics. I enjoy swimming, photography, and playing basketball in my spare time. As Prime Minister, I hope to make this year as eventful as possible. Remember that Council is a resource for you to use! I encourage everyone to get involved in the IRC Community; if you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to stop by my room in Lewis 106 or email me at pu4tk@virginia.edu. I look forward to meeting all of you and am excited for a great year ahead!

Hey everyone! My name is Reema, I am a third year in the College planning to major in math (nerdy, I know). This is also my third year in the IRC (Munford, represent!) and I’m so excited to spend it serving as your Minister of Finance! I’m half Lebanese and I’ve lived in Virginia my whole life (though, I must add, one of the few not from NoVa). I also play trombone in the marching band so come out to the football games with your fellow IRCers! I hope you enjoy living in the IRC as much as I have!! See you around!

Hey guys welcome to the IRC!!! My name is Ayesha Arshad, and I am this year’s Minister of Community Operations. I am a 2nd year in the College of Arts and Sciences from NOVA, more specifically Alexandria. I love reading, playing volleyball, shopping and watching Pretty Little LiarsJ. As Minister of Community Operations I’m looking forward to making the IRC an even more enjoyable place to live in. With that said I am super excited for this year and look forward to meeting you guys! Please feel free to stop by my room anytime to talk or just hang out!
Helloooo IRC! My name is Umme Hane and although there are numerous amazingly funny ways to say it, I promise one day you will say it right! I am currently a second year intending to declare a major in Commerce. I am from India (it’s going to be super easy for you to figure that out...) and I love the rain, slow music, Indian food, emotional dramas and messing around in my room. I lived in the IRC my first year and I absolutely loved it not just for the food (which, trust me, is a huge contributor) but for the amazingly awesome people that I met here. As minister of interior I overlook the Weekly Stall News and Cooking Coalition, so if you have any fabulous ideas or suggestions please come meet me! Also I love talking so you can come over anytime for any reason. (Lewis 202 suite)
Greetings residents and friends! My name is Jonathan Campbell, and I am a rising third-year student going into The Curry School. I would like to wish you a warm welcome to the IRC! I hail from the small northern state of New Hampshire, but I absolutely love Charlottesville and our beautiful university. I am an active member of Catholic Student Ministries (CSM), the Knights of Columbus, and I am going to be a member of the Virginia Rifle and Pistol Club (VPRC) this coming fall. First and foremost, I am here for you. If there is anything you need, or if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask! I am a pretty care-free and easy going person, who enjoys a good laugh, hugs, and spending quality time with others. Let’s make this the best year at the IRC yet.

Hey IRC! My name is Ruba Shalhoub and I’m your Minster of Recreation. I’m a second year pre-med student hoping to major in either biology or biomedical engineering. I’m originally Lebanese and lived in Dubai for most of my life but my family recently relocated to DC. I enjoy food, playing basketball, swimming, watching movies and professional soccer games, going to the beach and cooking/ baking. If I’m not in class, chilling at Clemons, or eating, you can find me at one of IRC’s awesome food events, or in my room in Hoxton! I am super excited for the year to come and to plan awesome events with your help so hit me up if you have any ideas or if you just want to hang!
