Originally from the Adirondack Mountains in up-state New York, Tanya Reeves received her MA in Cultural Anthropology from Syracuse University where she focused on East Asia and Women’s Studies.  She participated in study abroad programs to France, England and Jamaica, and traveled in Asia while teaching English in Japan.  Tanya interned and worked with international students and scholars at SU’s Slutzker Center for International Services, and was a program coordinator at the International Center of Syracuse.  Tanya has been with the IC since the fall of 2006.  As Assistant Director, she oversees the IC’s programs and operations with the help of a wonderful team of staff and volunteers.  Tanya moved to Orange in 2000 when her husband took the position of Director of Archaeology at James Madison’s Montpelier.  Before coming to the IC, Tanya worked at The Arts Center in Orange where she continues to volunteer and where she and her son and daughter take classes.
